THE PLAYER

A record built one season at a time

Taylor came up through junior golf in Ontario, where a short season teaches a player to score with whatever the day gives her. She won the Canadian Junior Girls Championship and the Ontario Women's Amateur, then took six AJGA titles against the strongest fields in her age group.

College golf took her to the University of Alabama and then to Michigan State, where she finished her career in Big Ten competition. Four seasons of travel, qualifying and Sunday pressure shaped a game that holds its shape on unfamiliar courses.
