PROFILE

The story behind the scorecard

A Canadian golfer who learned the game in a short northern season, won on the national junior stage, and finished four years of NCAA competition ready for the professional game.

BEGINNINGS

Ontario junior golf

Taylor grew up playing competitive golf in Ontario, where the season is short and the weather rarely cooperates. That teaches a specific skill: scoring on days when the swing is not perfect. She moved from provincial fields into national amateur competition, winning the Canadian Junior Girls Championship in 2019 and the Ontario Women's Amateur in 2020.

Travel to American Junior Golf Association events followed, and with it six victories between 2017 and 2021. Those results put her on college recruiting boards and gave her the habit of closing out a tournament when Sunday pressure arrives.

COLLEGE

Alabama and Michigan State

Taylor began her collegiate career at the University of Alabama, contributing to a program with a long record of strong conference finishes. She completed her final two years at Michigan State University, competing in Big Ten play and developing under elite NCAA coaching.

Four seasons of qualifying, travel and team competition produced a 72.3 stroke average and a game that holds up on unfamiliar courses. She graduates from Michigan State in 2026.

Turning professional

Starts in an LPGA event and an Epson Tour event as an amateur gave her a clear read on what the professional level asks for. The 2026 plan is roughly fifteen starts split between the Epson Tour and the Ladies European Tour, closing with Qualifying School.

Off the course, Taylor is part of a growing movement in the women's game. Women now account for a record 8.1 million on course golfers, a 46 percent rise since 2019, and she wants her career to make that door wider for the players behind her.
